Sponsors Back in Force

Patagonia WorkWear returns as a major sponsor

The 2018 Best Horse Practices Summit wouldn’t be happening if it weren’t for the incredible enthusiasm of its attendees. Last year, they came from as far away as Canada, Maine, and Hawaii, to soak up our academic and arena presentations.

This year, folks have already signed up from Utah, Maine, California, Indiana, New Mexico, Washington, Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Alberta, Canada. Wahoo!

Equally impressive is Summit sponsor support. We’re thrilled to have the following sponsors back in force and welcome several new sponsors:

Title Sponsor:

Patagonia WorkWear – makers of a new line of hemp-based apparel. Read our review of the Barn Coat  and our welcome to Patagonia as title sponsor.

Session Sponsors:

Redmond Equine – attendees will be able to buy Redmond salt and have it shipped straight to their door from the Summit in Durango. Horses love it!

Darn Tough – the Vermont company will offer each attendee a complimentary pair of the best socks ever. Come early to Summit registration on October 7 to get your pick of a wide selection of styles.

Pharm Aloe – this company has been making aloe supplements for more than two decades and sells juice, crumbles, and pellets for humans, horses, and dogs.

Aloe Vera is widely known to help with a range of medicinal concerns, including digestive problems, nutrient absorption, function and the immune system.

Additional Sponsors:

National Mustang Association/Colorado – a busy, passionate organization directly involved in sustaining the welfare of the Spring Creek Basin herd (which BHPS attendees can visit on October 10) and other wild horses in southwestern Colorado.

5 Star Equine – This Arkansas company makes premier wool felt pads and mohair cinches. Look for their Limited Edition “Western Classic” hand-tooled, hand-painted pad at the Summit.

Osprey Packs – the local company, based in Cortez, Colorado, will feature its line of rider-friendly FlapJill handbags as well as its metal wine cups at the Summit.

Trafalgar Square Books – the Vermont company publishes some of the best equine education books, including several volumes by BHPS return presenter Dr. Gerd Heuschmann.

Stanley – who doesn’t need a travel mug from this legendary company? We’ve found the Switchback mugs to be the best in the category. You can buy a custom-inked Switchback at our trade show.

Alpine Start – This new Colorado company has created an instant coffee that tastes decidedly fresh-brewed. Look for it to warm you up at our arena presentations.

Skidmore’s – we love their leather cream for all our gear. All attendees will receive a complimentary tub during the Summit farewell reception

Knotty Girlz – this woman-owned, Washington state rope company is our favorite for halters and leadlines. Check out their offerings at our Strater Hotel trade show.
