Welcome Susan Pye and Wells Fargo

Susan Pye, a Wells Fargo Advisor, has stepped up to become a Patron Sponsor. We welcome Susan and her company. Susan is a Certified Financial Planner based in Portland, Maine.

She writes:

I am excited to sponsor and attend the Best Horse Practices Summit as it is a great opportunity for those looking to improve their relationship with

Susan Pye and Burt

their horses and learn about new education in training methods. This is a unique conference to see clinicians and educators we might not always get in Maine. Sponsoring is a wonderful way for me to support my passion and also promote the work I do to help clients achieve their passions in life.

Thanks, Susan!

Meet Susan at Friday’s Welcome Reception at the Maine Beer Company in Freeport and throughout the weekend at Pineland Farms.

We’re especially happy with Susan’s participation as she is bringing her adopted mustang, Burt, to serve as a demonstration horse for presenter West Taylor.

Susan’s Burt will be West Taylor’s demo horse at the Summit

Here’s a little more about this handsome gelding. Susan writes:
I adopted Burt from Ever After Mustang Rescue in Biddeford five years ago when he was three years old. He came from the Adobe Town, Wyoming Herd Management Area. Since then, I’ve worked with trainer Chris Lombard (who connected us with the demo opportunity at the Summit).

I have taken him to clinics, Popham Beach, and on trail rides. We’ve done a lot of ground work and are working on being more consistent in our confidence riding away from home on our own. He is very excitable when in a new location and wants to be around the other horses.

Burt is very curious and loves people. Our training is slow as I’ve been learning far more than I have been teaching Burt!

Looking forward to seeing Burt and Susan next month.
